VLESS Tunnel to Your American SIM From Overseas

Every line from American Mobile Proxies comes with a plain HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 login. It also comes with a VLESS link. For a buyer in China, Vietnam or anywhere far from the United States, the VLESS link is often the better way to connect. This guide explains what VLESS is in simple terms, why it helps when you are far away, how to set it up on Windows, iPhone, Android and desktop clients, and how to check the speed you get. It stays technical and neutral; the tunnel is a tool, not magic.

What VLESS is

VLESS is a transport protocol used by the Xray and V2Ray family of software. A client on your device opens one encrypted connection to our server. Everything you send goes inside that connection. On our server the traffic leaves the tunnel and goes out through your SIM, so the website sees the carrier address of your line, exactly as with the plain login.

The connection is wrapped in TLS, the same encryption websites use. To any network between you and our server, it looks like an ordinary HTTPS session. There is no visible proxy port, no visible username, and no visible list of destinations.

Why a far-away buyer may prefer it

A plain proxy login sends your credentials and your traffic across every network between you and the United States in a form those networks can read. Some networks block well-known proxy ports. Some slow down connections they classify as proxy traffic. A TLS tunnel avoids both problems in many places, because it looks like normal web traffic.

The second reason is coverage. A proxy login only works in programs that have a proxy field. A VLESS client can route the whole device, including apps that have no proxy setting. For a phone, this is the only practical way to put every app on the SIM. The third reason is simplicity: one link, pasted once, instead of five fields typed into each program.

Getting the link

Sign in at space.americanmobileproxies.com, open your line and find the VLESS row. Copy the vless:// link. It contains the server, the port, your id and the TLS settings. Treat it as a password. If it leaks, use the revoke button on the same card and copy a new one. The link changes if you move the plan to another city, because the server changes. Rotation and renewal do not change it.

Windows: v2rayN

v2rayN is the most common Windows client. It is free and open source.

  1. Download v2rayN from its GitHub releases page and unpack it.
  2. Copy the vless:// link, then in v2rayN choose Servers and Import from clipboard.
  3. Select the new server and press Enter to make it active.
  4. Turn on the system proxy in the bottom bar, or note the local SOCKS and HTTP ports to use in a single program.
  5. Open an IP check page. The owner should be an American carrier and the location your SIM's city or state.

iPhone: Shadowrocket

Shadowrocket is a paid app and it is not in every country's App Store. Many buyers in China use an App Store account from another region to buy it. If you cannot get it, Hiddify and other free clients also run on iPhone.

  1. Install Shadowrocket from the App Store.
  2. Copy the vless:// link. Open Shadowrocket; it offers to add the server from the clipboard. Accept.
  3. Tap the server to select it, then turn on the main switch. Allow the VPN profile when iOS asks.
  4. Set Global Routing to Proxy if you want every app on the SIM, or Config to use rules.
  5. Load an IP check page in Safari and confirm the carrier and the city.

Any platform: Hiddify

Hiddify is a free client for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone with a simple interface. It is a good choice if you want the same app on every device.

  1. Install Hiddify from its website or app store listing.
  2. Tap the plus button and choose Add from clipboard with the vless:// link copied.
  3. Select the profile and press the connect button.
  4. Check the address on an IP check page.

Android: v2rayNG

v2rayNG is the standard Android client, free on Google Play and on GitHub.

  1. Install v2rayNG.
  2. Tap the plus button and choose Import config from clipboard.
  3. Select the new entry and tap the connect button at the bottom. Allow the VPN request.
  4. Confirm the address on an IP check page.
  5. Set the phone's time zone to the SIM's city and turn off GPS location for the apps you use through the tunnel.

Checking speed and fixing problems

Run a browser speed test through the tunnel and compare it with a test without the tunnel. The tunnel adds very little. Distance adds a lot: from East Asia expect a round trip of roughly 150 to 200 milliseconds to Los Angeles and more to the East Coast. Download speed is limited by the modem, usually 20 to 45 Mbps on 4G and 50 Mbps and up on 5G, and by your own connection. A test at your night is often faster than at your day, because the Pacific links are quieter.

If the client will not connect, check the device clock first; TLS needs an accurate time. If it connects on one network and not another, that network blocks the port in your link; ask support for a link on a different port. If the client says the id is invalid, the plan was moved and the link is old; copy the current one. Support is at [email protected] and on the Telegram bot, 24 hours a day.

Frequently asked

Does VLESS change which address the website sees?

No. The tunnel ends on our server and the traffic exits on your SIM. The website sees the same carrier address as with the plain login.

Is VLESS slower than the plain proxy login?

Not in a way you will notice. Distance to the United States is the main cost either way, and the tunnel often connects where a proxy port is blocked.

Can I use the plain login and VLESS at the same time?

Yes, within the line's connection limit. Both exit on the same SIM and the same address.

Do I need a new link after rotating the address?

No. Rotation changes the carrier address behind the tunnel and the tunnel stays connected. Only a move to another city gives a new link.

USA mobile proxies on hardware we own

Real 4G and 5G carrier IPs in eight US metros, with unlimited rotation, sticky sessions and HTTP(S) or SOCKS5. Try a line by the hour from $2 for the first two hours, or take a full day from $5; the hours you paid count toward the day.
